Richard D. Staggs is a Nationally Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and began in the medical field in 1979 working in emergency services. He graduated with Honors with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988 from Arkansas Tech University and received his Masters Science of Nursing Degree from Western University of Health Science, Pomona, CA. While in the masters program he received the Dean's Award for Leadership and received the Alumni Scholarship for Community Service. Richard has experience and worked in the areas of medical/surgical, emergency service, open heart, intensive care and ground and air critical care transport in fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. Richard is retired from the United States Air Force Reserve where he severed as a Flight Nurse Instructor and Evaluator, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation and Assistant Chief Nurse. He deployed throughout the Pacific Theater, Europe and the Middle East in support of Operations Southern Watch and Provide Calm. Richard served as officer in charge of Aeromedical Evacuation crews to Hurricane Katrina Relief Operations and assisted in the movement of over 5,500 patients from New Orleans. He retired with 23 years of active and reserve service. Richard serves as the nurse practitioner and manager of the Apple Valley office. He provides a full range of dermatology care and pre and postoperative care to cosmetic and reconstructive surgical patients.
