Dr. Michael M. Omidi is a broadly trained Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who has been achieving beautiful yet natural looking results through plastic surgery by using a combination of artistry, expertise and state-of-the-art techniques. Dr. Omidi is the Chief of Staff and Director of Surgery at the Pacific Surgical & Laser Institute.
Dr. Omidi specializes in facial, body and breast cosmetic surgery including breast enhancement, breast enlargement,breast implants or breast augmentation, and the revision of breast implant related complications; as well as liposuction, liposculpture, abdominoplasty or tummy tuck, rhinoplasty or nose jobs, thigh lifts, gluteal lifts or buttock lifts, brow lifts, facelifts, blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery and other facial rejuvenation including surgical, laser and non-surgical rejuvenation.
As a lecturer, researcher and author, Dr. Omidi has been widely sought after for his work in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as laser procedures. He is an author in a multitude of scientific manuscripts and medical chapters. Dr. Omidi has been an invited lecturer to national and international conferences on innovative techniques in plastic surgery and laser procedures. Dr. Omidi is an instructor and lecturer at the International Academy for Laser Medicine & Surgery and the Annual International Laser Conference in Florence, Italy.
While credentialing in plastic surgery requires only a mere three prerequisite years of general surgery training, Dr. Omidi completed an entire training program in general surgery, and has been recognized for this by also being certified by the American Board of Surgery (free register required to verify).
Prior to training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Omidi was a fully trained General Surgeon, Burn Surgeon and Breast Cancer Surgeon. Since completing training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Omidi has had additional sub-specialization training in Facial Aesthetic Surgery and Pediatric/Craniofacial Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Omidi is also a member of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Omidi is a Magna Cum Laude graduate and has attained the honors of MD degree with distinction in research. He finished residency and fellowship training at the Northwestern University Hospital and Medical Center, University of Illinois, Chicago Medical Center, Cook County Hospital Trauma Center and Burn Center, University of Miami Medical Center and Miami Children’s Hospital. Dr. Omidi has attained the rank of Instructor of Surgery at Northwestern University Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Omidi dedicates much of his own time and resources from Pacific Surgical & Laser Institute for pro bono and charity work. He is an avid volunteer and member of the Interplast Association, where he engages in missions abroad to treat burn patients, patients with traumatic deformities and pediatric patients with congenital anomalies such as cleft lips/palates.
Dr. Michael Omidi has been featured on the hit Dr. 90210 show on the E Channel. Only five doctors have been selected across the country for the next season of the show. They have also been featured in People’s Magazine, Starr Television as well as being voted as the best doctors in their area.
