Susan E. had the Lap Band surgery done and noted she had problems with her weight since childhood.

"I just didn't feel like going anywhere or doing anything," Susan said. I really felt uncomfortable with my appearance. It has only been a month (since the surgery) and I've lost nine pounds."

Susan, like many other individuals, said she tried a variety of weight loss programs and none seemed to fit the bill for her, noting she was dieting since her days as a youngster. She now tries to stay away from the fast food places and notes her diet has definitely improved, adding her system feels a lot cleaner now since having the Lap Band surgery.

"I'm starting to exercise and I feel better about myself," Susan said. "I have a whole stack of jeans and I'm starting to get back into them. I told myself I'm not going to buy any more big clothes. My weight loss goal is to get to losing 68 more pounds."

According to Susan, a lot of people at work tell her how good she looks now. "I tell them what I did and they're a little skeptical. They are scared because something is inside of you, but you can't even tell."

"I would have done this a long time ago if I knew it existed," Susan adds. "I feel now like I have a goal to reach."
