Ferrell, 54, has quite the sense of humor. But one thing he does not find that funny is his weight problem.

For Ferrell, being overweight has led to a number of problems, yet it still has not stopped him from hitting the buffets in Las Vegas. Now, however, that may change.

Ferrell says that he is a “Fat guy who wants to be thin.” Saying he is tired of huffing and puffing whenever he is moving around, Ferrell claims that he got the idea Lap Band surgery might be the only thing to help him turn around his life.

When looking into how best to lose weight, Ferrell said that diets were not working for him and that this kind of weight loss procedure may have been his last hope.

“I want this (Lap Band surgery) really bad and I think it will help me get rid of my high blood pressure,” Ferrell remarked.

Having tried conventional diets with no real success, Ferrell decided to turn to Lap Band surgery to get both his weight and his health under control.
