Erbium laser skin resurfacing is a procedure specifically designed to remove superficial and moderately deep lines and {ln:wrinkles} on the face. It can also be used to tighten facial skin. We use the highly advanced Sciton and Laserscope lasers for best results. What Are The Indications of Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Am I a Candidate for Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing?If you have wrinkles, aged skin, sun damage, skin laxity or scars and you want an extremely effective treatment without much down time or systemic side-effects, this may be the right treatment for you. What Can I Expect From The Procedure?Skin resurfacing with the cool light of the Erbium laser results in less post-operative redness, less swelling and provides a more rapid healing than with other laser skin resurfacing methods. Following the procedure, the treated areas are kept moist with an ointment for the first few days. Sunblock should be applied when in the sun. Make-up can usually be worn after the first week. How Long Does Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing Take?The procedure can take anywhere from 10minutes to 1 hour to complete. How Many Treatments Are Required?Usually 1 treatment obtains the desired result. Occasionally several lighter treatments may scheduled to minimize down-time. Will I Have Pain?Most patients are essentially pain free during this procedure. We use the latest technology to minimize any discomfort. We also apply our especially formulated highly effective pre-treatment topical anesthetic cream. This is sufficient for most patients. As an additional measure, we use the Zimmer cold air device, which gently blows cold air against the skin, to facilitate comfort. As every person has a different threshold for pain, for those especially sensitive patients, we have developed other protocols to ensure that the treatment is extremely comfortable and tolerable allowing you to fully enjoy the results without pain. When Can I Go Back To Work Or School?You can generally be back to your normal activities in about 7-14 days.
